In simple terms its about having certainty about what will happen to your posessions after you die. If you do nothing its the government that may decide what happens.

However wills are a very complex subject so Heron Way Associates has teamed up with Ison Harrison Solicitors to provide our clients with a full service in this area for clients in England and Wales (we are currently in talks with regard to Scotland).

Ison Harrison have the following costs for a simple will in England

£100 plus VAT for a single will

£150 plus VAT for a mirror will (two people that are connected where each wants the other to inherit thier estate)

However Ison Harrison can handle situations with trusts and foreign properties on a very competative basis.

In Scotland we have now teamed up with Walker Laird Solicitors who have starting costs of £130 plus vat for a basic will.
